Quite simply, bootleggers. For far too long now fake Mega City Four band tshirts have flooded the internet. They're low quality, bootleggers don't hold the copyright and most importantly the profit goes into the fakers pocket and not to Forward 4 Wiz Trust. Wiz would not be impressed by that. <\/p>
If you weren't so sure, Forward 4 Wiz Trust, affectionally known as F4Wt or Team Wiz was formed shortly after MC4 frontman Wiz's untimely death. We've built ourselves from our grassroots starting with just tenner out of Karina's pocket, into the charity we are today. Assisting hundreds of aspiring musicians and creatives over the past 13+ years we've managed to build a platform from which we can encourage creativity right through our communities with our now legendary shows and our (sometimes ridiculously) ambitious projects.<\/p>
But all this takes cash.<\/p>
F4Wt is almost entirely self-funded, meaning the majority of our funding comes from merch sales and kind donations by you guys. We are a community together and this charity is as much yours when you purchase a tee or hoodie as it is ours. The bootleggers have hurt us, so we decided to make a stand whilst giving what so many Mega City 4 fans have asked for for years; a dedicated store front. We have built this with love.<\/p>
It was important to us that our products were as ethical and sustainable as possible and that's why we've partnered with Teemill. Our range of official Mega's merch and our range of F4Wt music merch will grow, we have a bunch of cool designers putting awesome music tshirts together and we're really excited about the future. As a charity we earn around 12-15% of each sale (theres a cool function that will show you just how much of your sale we'll earn, just look for the donation tab), so you can be assured that with every purchase you make you are making a real difference at grassroots level.
